At the first All Staff Forum of the year, join Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry as she shares updates from across UQ, celebrates our achievements, and outlines our focus for the rest of 2025. The forum will be held at the UQ Centre, St Lucia, on Thursday 5 June from 1:15pm to 3:15pm.
Registrations are now open for National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2025 events, which are happening between Tuesday 27 May and Tuesday 3 June. This year’s theme, Bridging Now to Next, signifies learning from the past and shaping a more inclusive future. There are a range of events for staff and students happening across all UQ campuses. Monday 6 May is University Mental Health Day in Australia. This annual day acknowledges the importance of mental health and wellbeing for everyone who studies and works in higher education. At UQ, support and services are available to both staff and students, as well as to the wider community.
Nominations for the UQ Research Culture Awards open Tuesday 6 May. The awards celebrate outstanding staff contributions to UQ’s research environment across disciplines and career stages. They aim to inspire a shared commitment to a sustainable research ecosystem that empowers individuals and teams to reach their full potential. Nominate yourself or a colleague in one of the categories before Friday 30 May.
